Vitamins A and E both help your bird resist infection. Vitamin A is essential for maintaining a healthy gut. Vitamin E is known to provide a boost to the immune system. Vitamin C is used up quickly when a bird is under stress, so replacing it is important.

Seed eating birds and Parrots tend to get very little nutrition from their diet. Vitamin and mineral deficiency can easily manifest into such problems as poor fertility, snuffles, pneumonia, feather plucking and even kidney disease.
