Learn more about Avian Veterinary Services.
If you are looking for a warm and welcoming team with a genuine passion for all things avian you needn’t look any further. Avian Veterinary Services is a state of the art medical and surgical facility exclusively for the treatment and care of birds based near Northwich, Cheshire, just off the M6.
Staff
Richard Jones BVSc MSc MRCVS and his fully qualified AVS team, Carli Dodd RVN and Emily Hardacre BVM&S CertZooMed MRCVS have many years of experience dealing with avian and exotics pets.
Their expertise and continued desire for learning ensures many areas of avian care including Parrot behaviour, nutrition, Psittacine medicine, soft tissue surgery, endoscopy and orthopaedics remain at the cutting edge.
To ensure that their many areas of expertise can flourish and provide only the very best service, a purpose built state of the art medical and surgical facility was created.
Services
Fully equipped with custom built hospitalisation and intensive care units, digital radiography, an endoscopy unit and the latest in avian anaesthesia and surgical equipment, you can be sure you and your bird will receive the service you deserve.
AVS know that it is of paramount importance to you to find a veterinary surgeon who considers each consultation as a two-way communication. Due to this recognition they offer longer consultations to allow time to listen to your concerns, thoroughly examine your bird and then discuss in detail what options are available.’
Not only do the AVS team offer appointments throughout the day, 6 days a week, they provide their clients with a 24 hour Emergency Service. Knowing a friendly and familiar face is only a phone call away whenever you need them is a must for any caring bird owner.
Team
The AVS team promise to go that one step further with their Emergency Service and will personally provide 24 hour cover so you can be guaranteed continuity of care by a vet that knows your bird. Any laboratory samples that cannot be analysed in house are couriered to a local specialist veterinary diagnostic lab so they can be acted on the same day, so critical when dealing with avian patients.
Richard Jones and his team come highly recommended by people near and far. If you’d like to find out more please contact the Avian Veterinary Surgery on 01606 350 410 or visit their website www.avianveterinaryservices.co.uk
