Best Behaved Birds is run by certified professional bird trainers Sophie Barnett CPBT-KA and David Trebus CPBT-KA.

Sophie has been working professionally with birds since 2009 in a diverse range of roles including as a: Zoo Keeper, Zoo Presenter, Animal Care Lecturer and Head of Birds. She holds a First Class BSc (Hons) in Animal Behaviour and Welfare specialising in birds and she creates educational bird care content on her YouTube Channel BirdNerdSophie’. https://www.youtube.com/@BirdNerdSophie

David has lived with Parrots his whole life and he comes from a teaching and research background. He holds a Diploma in Animal Behaviour and Welfare, and passed the ‘Living & Learning with Animals: The Fundamental Principles and Procedures of Teaching and Learning’ course. This was delivered by psychology professor Dr Susan Friedman and covered the practical application of behaviour analysis when training Parrots. David educates Parrot owners through his YouTube channel ‘TheParrotTeacher’. https://www.youtube.com/@TheParrotTeacherSophie and David are both professional members of the International Association of Avian Trainers and Educators (IAATE), and both hold a Certificate in Animal Nutrition. Their flock currently consists of two Cockatiels, two Crimson-bellied Conures and four Green-cheeked Conures.Services offered:
