Say hello to Bobby the African Grey

We’ve got another wonderful Meet My Parrot for you this month. This time we’re meeting Bobby the African Grey and his owner Pam Watkins.

Tell us about Bobby

Bobby is an African Grey and he is 13 years old.

Does he speak?

Bobby must be one of the cleverest birds ever. He has a vocabulary of over 150 words, can sing 4 songs, dance and has over 50 phrases and sentences. He only goes into his cage to sleep, he puts himself to bed at 9pm by saying “Bobby bed now, night night, put the telly off.”

In the morning he asks nicely to be let out, followed by “help Bobby out now.”

When I get to him he is all sweetness and light..”good morning, clean Bobby’s house now.”
