About this Product
A festive friend for the holiday season.
The festive holidays can be a busy time for everyone, with extra jobs to do, people to see and places to go time just seems to disappear. With a Father Christmas Wood and Rope Toy you can be sure that your Parrot has a buddy to keep them company and entertained.
Festively coloured so your Parrot can feel part of the festivities, Father Christmas has lots of shaped wood pieces for your bird to chew. His arms and legs have soft cotton rope running through them, knotted at the ends to make hands and feet for your Parrot to preen.
A length of bird safe metal chain runs through the centre adding strength to a toy already full of wood pieces. Your Parrot is sure to be drawn to the face of Father Christmas, with knotted sisal rope for a beard which is in good need of a trim. More wood parts make up the eyes and nose, fastened on with knotted poly rope and a wood hat keeping his head warm.
His whiffle ball head is the perfect place for attaching more materials for your bird to chew, pick and preen, and hiding treats, food or materials inside, this will promote your bird to actively forage.
Foraging is one of the best activities for your Parrot to do. It helps to keep your bird`s body and mind active, helping to prevent boredom.

Toy Safety
Every Parrot is different and toys should be chosen with care to match your bird`s personality, as well as how strong and destructive they are. Many toys are made to be chewed and destroyed – that`s part of the fun – so if the toy doesn’t last as long as you expected this is probably because it wasn’t suitable in the first place.
The only toy that is 100% safe is the one that your bird never plays with. We strongly recommend close supervision, especially when introducing new or unfamiliar toys to your bird.
It is important to check toys regularly, you may need to repair or replace any which have become unsafe. Please pay particular attention to rope toys, any loose threads should be trimmed straightaway.
Please remove all packaging from toys and accessories before giving to your bird, this may include silica gel sachets which are non-toxic and help ensure your order reaches you in perfect condition.
