Here is our guide to Quaker toys.
Unsure of which Quaker Toy will suit them best? Then have a read of this handy guide which breaks down the different options available to you and your feathered friend.
Foraging Toys
Without doubt these are the most enriching toys for your Parrot. You can hide treats inside them for your Quaker, then let them work out how to get them out again.
With reusable foraging toys there is normally a puzzle to solve. Good ones to start with are the Buffet Ball, – twist it apart, fill with food, treats or materials, fasten together and hand over to your Parrot, then watch them work away!
Wood and Rope Toys
Whether it be soft or hard wood, it’s perfect for chewing on to keep beaks healthy, and the rope is ideal for preening with.
Eric Elephant is waiting for your Quaker to come and play. It has lots of wood spools for chewing and rope for preening on.
The Popsicle Sticks has layers of coloured lolly sticks to move around and chew on.
Cardboard and Paper Toys
Let your Quaker indulge in some shredding fun. Parrots love the sound it makes as they tear it into smaller pieces too.
The Stacks of Shredding Medium has loads of layers of cardboard to get through. You can hide small treats inbetween the sections too.
Birdie Bangles can easily have other materials added to them for more entertainment or your Quaker can just enjoy chewing and unravelling the layers.
Willow and Palm Toys
Have loads of different textures to pick, preen and unravel.
The Willow Wizard has vine munch balls to unravel and fill with goodies.
Cactus Toys
The smaller Bird Kabobs are made from agave or cactus wood. This irresistible material is so much fun for beaks to get to grips with.
Acrylic and Metal Toys
These have parts your Quaker can move around and remove.
The Super Star Foraging Toy has a star shaped lid. Watch your Quaker work at removing the lid to get to any prizes inside.
Foot Toys
Are small and lightweight, the best toys for picking up and throwing around, helping to keep feet exercised in the process.
The Sneaker Foot Toy has soft cotton laces, perfect if your Quaker enjoys untying knots.
Popsicle Sticks come in a pack of six, with irresistible coloured woven vine balls on a chewable wood popsicle sick.
Swings and Climbing Toys
Give your Quaker physical stimulation walking across them.
The colourful Bendy Ladder can be a climbing wall, bridge or climbing frame. You can easily attach it to the side or across the cage.
The Parrot Orbit is made from soft cotton which is comfortable as your Quaker walks across it. The cotton textures are useful for preening with too.
Bells and Musical Toys
These noise-loving Parrots turn up the volume levels even more.
The Charming Jingle Ball makes a delightful chiming noise as your Quaker Parrot moves it around.
The Jingle Stars has 6 metal bells in total, that chime happily away as your Quaker plays.
Activity and Trick Toys
Teach your clever Parrot colours, shapes and other skills with activity and trick toys. The Teacher Toy has rings your Quaker can stack and the Mimic Me teaches them simple words and phrases.
Toy Packs
With many fun toys in a toy pack, you can easily rotate the contents to keep playtime fresh and interesting. Plus you’ll be getting them at a reduced price against RRP’s.
Please Note
You’ll know your Parrot best, please choose toys that you feel are suitable for your Quaker’s level of destruction. As with anything new it can take some time for your Quaker to accept a new toy. Introduce new toys slowly. Place it some distance away from your Parrot at first, then bring it closer to them as they become more confident.
