About this Product
The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill is the true story of homeless street musician Mark Bittner and his remarkable relationship with a flock of wild Parrots.
The film begins with Mark Bittner, a homeless man living in San Francisco, searching for meaning in his life. He meets the wild Cherry-Headed Conures living on Telegraph Hill in the city and begins to learn more about them.
Although not a trained scientist, Mark becomes an expert on the Conures as he starts to feed, name, study and protect the birds on the hill. He also consults local bird watchers to learn more about the Conures, escaped pets that have begun to breed in San Francisco. This isn't a nature film, but does link the Parrots' antics to human behaviour.
The surprise ending ties the themes together nicely and completes Mark's search for meaning.
